Coriander Picante Microgreen Seed Pack

Coriander Picante Microgreen Seed Pack

from NZ$5.00

Coriander for micro greens is such a delicious intense flavour. It is slow growing but well worth the wait. Make sure you have a deep tray for Coriander as they have long tap roots. Even the roots are full of flavour and can be eaten in many dishes. The Coriander will be ready to harvest in approximately 10-12 days from sowing.

How to grow your mix microgreens:

  1. Prepare your tray* with drainage holes and fill with potting mix or seed raising mix (make sure you are wearing a face mask). Make sure it is a deep tray for Coriander as they have long roots.

  2. Sprinkle your seed evenly but generously over the soil (you don’t need to use the whole pack, the seed last a long time in the pack). You can sprinkle a little bit of soil over the seeds which can help speed up and create a more even germination. Sit them somewhere they can get light but it does not need to be a sunny spot.

  3. To assure germination and rapid growth, keep the seed tray moist but not drenched, using a spray bottle to do your watering is the best. I usually spray them once a day.

  4. Once they are approximately 5cm long, cut or pick them above the soil line. Try to patch cut them so that the smaller seedlings can get space and light and you will get more growth from your tray.

  5. Add to any curry, Mexican dishes or fish. Even in your sandwich, salad or wrap. I have them on as many dishes as I can!

*Use any tray around the house such as an ice cream container, old meat tray, margarine container, as long as you can put drainage holes in the bottom.
