Out with the old, in with the new

This garden was filled with Rhododenron’s, Camellias and weeds. We gutted this bed and moved the existing plants that we could to a shadier area. We lay down cardboard and pea straw all around the Magnolia Blanchards.

Cottage Garden Reno

This bed for amish mash of weeds, perennials and raspberries. Converted to a cottage boarder filled with flowers for picking.

Fragrant with splashes of orange

This was a blank canvas with the brief being; fragrant, with some healing herbs and splashes of orange. I filled this area with lots of perennials and herbs along the edge of the bench seat like thyme, sage, lemon verbena and oregano. For the orange there are splashes of Dahlias, orange Echinacea, Geum and some Canna Lily’s. Can’t wait to see this area take on some growth.

Vege Garden Revamp

This vege garden was filled with weeds and the soil was old and tired. I added a layer of compost and then planted out lots of Winter hardy vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. Then put a thick layer of pea straw down to keep the weeds and bay and the moisture locked in the soil. It also adds great organic matter to the top soil.
