The Cut flower kit seed sowing guide:

SWEET PEAS

  1. Sow in Autumn to get strong Summer flowers. Fill your pots with seed raising mix.

  2. Sow the seed approximately 2 x the depth of the seed in the soil, cover with soil and firm down.

  3. Keep in a frost free area for the germination period and keep moist

  4. Harden off seedlings by putting them out during the day to start and under shelter at night

  5. Then keep the seeds out at night and once they have hardened off you can plant outside

  6. Make sure they have a trellis to climb up

  7. Once they start flowering, cut the blooms every few days to prevent them from going to seed

ZINNIAS

COSMOS

  3. Add hot water to your peat pellet and wait for it to expand, add to the peat pot

  4. Sow the seed approximately 2 x the depth of the seed

  5. Keep in a frost free area for the germination period and keep peat pellet moist

  6. Harden off seedlings by putting them out during the day to start and under shelter at night

  7. Then keep them out at night and once they have hardened off you can plant outside

  8. Make sure they are in a sunny area
